One tent. One campfire. A place to stay.

You arrive alone in a woodland clearing with a tent and a few berries. Gather wood and stone, light your first fire and prepare for nightfall. Before long, travellers start arriving, looking for somewhere they can call home.

Clareira is a pixel art survival and village-building game. Every new resident brings a profession, a personal request and a different way to help. Your goal: turn a lonely camp into a village of 10 people and guide them through their first winter.

From the first night to spring

  • Survive in the woods: manage hunger, energy, health and cold. Hunt, cook and keep the campfire burning. Watch out: animals fight back.
  • Build your camp: place shelters, paths, fences and gates directly on the map. Upgrade your tent and your neighbours' homes.
  • Raise chickens: capture a pair, protect the pen and collect meat from its basket as your flock grows.
  • Welcome nine neighbours: assign jobs, fulfil requests and put their different skills to work.
  • Stock up: turn logs into planks, preserve meals in the smokehouse and smelt ore at the forge.
  • Explore: search an abandoned cabin, restore a well, help a lost traveller and discover the iron hillside.
  • Make decisions together: deal with illness, arguments, strong winds and tracks near the chicken pen.
  • Weather the winter: snow arrives on day 7. Keep everyone warm and fed until spring on the morning of day 10. Then keep building.
